Day 1
Arrive at Dublin Airport, where you will be met in the airport by our local representative who will direct you to your driver and coach. Travel to the town of Killarney (drive time 4 hours) and check into the Killarney Plaza Hotel for a 5-night stay. Overlooking Killarney National Park, this classic hotel is within 5 minutes' walk of the town center.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will be transferred 1 hour south to play Waterville Golf Links. Waterville Golf Club is a favoured by Mark O’Meara, Tiger Woods and other golfing greats prior to heading over to the UK for The Open Championship. Founded in 1889 as a 9-hole course, Waterville was re-designed to an 18-hole layout by Irish golf course architect Eddie Hackett in the late 1960’s and has since garnered an almost mythical reputation. The holes tend to run from elevated tees down natural valleys as the layout cuts through the dunes rather than over them. The views of the surrounding mountains are fantastic!
Day 3
Following breakfast, you will be transferred 1 hour north to play Tralee Golf Club. Opened in October 1984 Tralee Golf Club was the first European golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. When he first saw the area upon which his company was to build Tralee golf links, he was ecstatic about the possibilities. "I have never come across a piece of land so ideally suited for the building of a golf course" he said, "I designed the first nine but surely God designed the back nine", Palmer explained. "I am happy that we have one of the world’s great golf links here."
Day 4
This morning, after a full Irish breakfast, you will be transferred 1 hour 45 minutes southeast to Kinsale, where you will play Old Head Golf Links. One of the world’s most stunning golf courses, Old Head Golf Links is set on a promontory, which is almost an island. The course takes you high along the cliff tops and offers dramatic risk rewards shots and some breathtaking scenery.
Day 5
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be taken on a day of sightseeing including parts of the Ring of Kerry
Day 6
Following breakfast, you will check out of Killarney Plaza Hotel and be transferred 1 hour north to Ballybunion where you will play the Old Course. Tom Watson and the renowned course architect Robert Trent Jones are prominent among the many admirers of this renowned Old Course. "Playing Ballybunion is similar in many respects to playing Cypress Point in America and I like that style of golf," says Watson. The course was first conceived and played in 1891, but after a while, laid dormant until 1906. By 1927, the 18-hole links course had been completed. Ballybunion is one of the most natural links courses in Ireland.
After golf, you will be transferred to Lahinch where you will stay 2 nights at the Lahinch Coast Hotel. This hotel enjoys a prominent location in the famous coastal town on the West coast of Clare, just a stone's throw away from Lahinch's famous Blue Flag beach and a short walk from the renowned championship links at Lahinch Golf Club. The famous Cliffs of Moher, Unique Burren landscape, Aran Islands, Doolin Cave and Loop Head are all gems of the Clare Coastline.
Day 7
Following breakfast, walk over to the Lahinch Golf Course for your round of golf. This historic course was founded in 1892 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. It is also one of the most respected links courses in the world. It sits right on the Atlantic coastline on the Southwest Coast of Ireland in county Clare and offers natural contours of links land and bunkers to challenge the golfer. A variety of competitions take place on this course, which is 6,950 yards and par 72. After golf, tour the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, just a short 15-minute drive away.
Day 8
After an early breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and be transferred 3 hours and 45 minutes to Dublin Airport for your flight home.
