The Complete Guide to the Best Après-Ski Spots in Park City

If you’re wondering how to fill those hours after the lifts close but before s’mores, we’ve got a few ideas, and they all involve après.
Oleta Adams said it best, “I don’t care how you get here, just get here if you can,” words we’ve taken to heart, and stomach.

So, whether you cap off your last run with a drink, a meal, or time spent with family re-living the day’s turns, here are a few of the best après-ski spots in Park City, to suit one, or all, of your post-ski pre-dessert desires.

Best for Drinks

The Après Lounge, Montage, Deer Valley

If you like your cocktail with a side of atmosphere, kick off your skis and head to one of the cutest yurts in Park City, located just behind the Montage at the base two lifts, Ruby and Empire Express. Choose from black and red checkered chairs, a rustic couch or simply belly up to the wooden bar and grab yourself a glass of rosé. This winter dream boasts small bites, an assortment of wines by the glass, and a champagne list that will transport you from Utah to France in a single sip.

The Umbrella Bar, Canyons Village

Open daily from 11:30 am to 6 pm is the epicenter of Canyon’s Resort, the Umbrella Bar. This 21 and older hot spot is walking distance from the Red Pine Gondola, even in ski boots. Enjoy popular draft beers, live music, burgers and hot wings at the mountain’s base while you retell the stories of the day.

High West Saloon, Park Ave.

If you ski into town and take the last right just before the town lift bridge, you’ll practically slide right into High West Saloon’s front door. The popular après spot, open until 10 pm, is well known for its Utah-made whiskey. Choose from seasonal releases, barrel-aged cocktails or classic favorites like Rendezvous® Rye, Campfire® and Valley Tan®. But don’t stop there, with a menu that ranges from gourmet popcorn to a Chai Spiced Beet and Citrus Salad, to their Niman Ranch Double Thick Pork Chop served with a Gold Creek cheddar grit cake and American Prairie® bourbon and sage apple sauce, this is a one-stop-shop for both food and drink.

Best for Food

The Farm, Canyons Village

Among the few restaurants in Park City with a designated après menu, The Farm at Canyons Resort in the Grand Summit welcomes tired and hungry skiers and snowboarders with their après menu that runs daily from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Walk the short distance from the Red Pine Gondola or ski to Canyon’s Resort Base and order their Chipotle Honey Wings, Bison Chili, and Dirty Ol’ Snowman, made of Bee’s Knees vanilla ice cream, hot cocoa, whipped cream with Bailey’s & Godiva chocolate liquor.

Five Seeds, Off Main

We had to take a detour from Main Street and resort bases to include one of our favorite restaurants in town, Five Seeds, for those half-day morning skiers. Open from 7:30 am to 3 pm, this local gem is home to one of the best menus in town, filled with creative culinary cuisine that will have you tight rolling your ski pants and Instagramming your lunch. From their breakfast options (which are served all day) like Breakfast Panna Cotta to their Ahi Poké Bowl to their Savory Waffle and Chook (a chorizo spin on chicken and waffles) we’ll drive the five minutes from the Park City Resort Base to enjoy a meal this unique.

Park City Provisions, Main Street

The baby sister to Riverhorse on Main, this book-end eatery is located at the top of Main Street and open until 8 pm, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ski into town and grab the trolley to the top, or ski down Quit N’ Time run and grab the stairs, but like we said, “get here if you can.” With the convenience of fast-casual and the flavor of a five-star dinner, this après favorite serves a Tofu Superfood Bowl that will knock your wool socks off. From Wild Game Meatloaf to Halibut Fish Tacos and a Wagyu Burger, there’s a reason Park City Provisions made our food list.

Best for Kids

The Bridge Café & Grill

With kids, convenience is key, and it doesn’t get much easier than skiing to the front door of dinner. The Bridge Café and Grill is located just steps from the Park City Town Lift and the ski run. Whether you eat on their winterized patio or opt for casual indoor dining, their menu satisfies a range of palates. Choose from Bridge Nachos, a Lemon Chicken Quesadilla, Sweet Potato Fries, Shrimp Tacos, a Mint Quinoa Salad or Chicken Pesto Pasta.

Red Tail Grill

With a menu specifically designed for “Young Shredders” under 10, Red Tail Grill, located on the second floor of the Grand Summit at Canyons Resort, offers families traveling and skiing with kids the opportunity to dine lift adjacent. Kids can choose from options like Pita Pizza, a Cheeseburger, Grilled Salmon or Chicken Fingers and each entrée is served with either a salad, veggies, fruit or fries.

Windy Ridge Café

Looking for somewhere to grab and go? Windy Ridge Café designed a menu perfect for families wanting the relaxed atmosphere of home (or home away from home if you’re visiting) without the effort of cooking after a long day in the snow. Their Family To-Go Menu serves four and offers a choice between baked mac and cheese, roasted turkey or grilled salmon and comes with a mixed green salad and fresh-baked focaccia bread. Need to feed a few more? Choose from mashed potatoes or sautéed veggies for additional sides.
